Can you do your own catering if not what is the menu’s and costing?
We have the mouth-watering catering, you will not want any other catering. The only reason outside catering is allowed is for religious reasons and a surcharge will be required. Click here to download our plated menu or harvest table.
Is corkage allowed if not please supply bar lists?
Yes, we ask R150 for a bottle of wine but have sliding scale available on request.
Is there any accommodation included if not what is the costs and is the accommodation onsite?
Yes, there is a night’s accommodation include for the bridal couple. They can choose to use it the night before or of the wedding. We are busy with the construction of our onsite accommodation but have arrangement with Die Ou Pastorie where you will be collect and dropped by our shuttle.
What is included in the venue hire?

What is the setup time allowed?
You are allowed to setup for 10h00 am
Is draping and fairy lights allowed?
Yes, but you need to provide a photo or example to the wedding coordinator so we can make sure it does not cause any damage to our main string lights.
Can you do your own decor and flowers?
Yes you can.
Can you use your own suppliers if not do they have a preferred list?
Yes, of course.
How many people can the venue accommodate?
200 guests.
How many people per table?
10 people per table.
Does the venue have a generator?
Yes we do.
Is there different rates for the venue hire on different dates
Yes we have prime months where the rate is a bit higher as well as winter months which the rate is a bit lower. Click here to download our price list

Is venue cleanup included?
You need to get to your honeymoon, we will clean up
Do they allow any special request drink items that they would like to purchase but the venue does not keep on hand?
We do charge a corkage for drinks brought on sight. If you would like us to stock anything for you please feel free to arrange this with your wedding coordinator.

How do payments works
We have two payment methods
The first payment procedure is 50%, fourteen days after your booking fee and 50% fourteen days before your wedding.
Our second payment option is a monthly debit order. Note this option is only available if you wedding is booked a year in advanced.

What are your cancellation policy
A cancellation is only acceptable in writing from the client.
In the event of the function being cancelled, the following will apply:Cancellations made more than 180 days’ prior to the function date will forfeit 50% of the deposit. Any further payments made up to that point will be refunded into the account provided in the contract.
Cancellations made less than 180 days’ but more than 90 days’ prior to the function date will forfeit80% of the deposit. . Any further payments made up to that point will be refunded into the account provided in the contract.
Cancellations made less than 90 days but more than 14 days’ prior to the function date will forfeit 100% of the deposit. Any further payments made up to that point will be refunded into the account provided in the contract.
Cancellations made less than 14 days’ prior to the function date will forfeit 100% of the deposit and 100% of final payment.
In the event of a cancellation The Nut Farm reserves the right to re-sell the date for other bookings to cover their losses.

What is not allowed at the venue
The Nut Farm management has restricted unauthorised busses and taxis from entering the premises. Hooting and loud music will not be permitted on the premises.
The Nut Farm does not take any responsibility for outsourced rentals delivered before-, during- or remaining after the function.
No fireworks, open fires or Chinese lanterns will be allowed on the property.
No decorations or alterations will be allowed at the entrance of the property.
The customer will not be entitled to paint, affix or attach any matter to the walls of the property, to include nails or hooks in the walls, roof or frames.
Please also refrain from using Prestik on the walls and pews.
Strictly no paper confetti, sparklers, live butterflies or Chinese lanterns will be allowed.
The Nut Farm management has restricted the number of children aged between 3 – 11 years to a maximum of 10 children at any given function. Exceptions will solely be to Managements discretion.
Children must be supervised at all times. The client will be liable for all damages to The Nut Farm property incurred by children.
No live animals will be allowed on the property without prior written permission from Management. Note we are a pet friendly venue
